Estonia: Economic sentiment falls in October
Latest reading: Economic sentiment fell to 84.5 in October from September’s 85.5. Consequently, the index remained below the long-term average of 100, pointing to a muted near-term outlook for the economy.
The headline print reflected weaker sentiment in the industrial and construction sectors. However, confidence in the services sector and among consumers improved in October, and sentiment in the retail sector increased in the surveyed month.
Regarding indicators that are not used to calculate the index, employment expectations deteriorated, while the economic uncertainty index improved in October.
