Estonia: Industrial output rebounds in October
Latest reading: Industrial production expanded 2.5% year on year in seasonally and calendar-adjusted terms in October (September: -1.5% s.c.a. yoy). October’s print marked the best reading since August 2022. October’s rise was largely due to a rebound in manufacturing production. In contrast, mining and quarrying production fell.
On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, industrial production rose at a quicker rate of 1.6% in October (September: +1.0% mom). Meanwhile, the trend improved significantly, with the annual average variation of industrial production coming in at minus 4.9% in October, up from September’s minus 6.1%.
