Euro Area: Unemployment rate hits all-time low in February
Latest reading: In February, the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate fell to a fresh all-time low of 6.1% (January: 6.2%).
As for the Eurozone’s largest economies, the unemployment rate fell in Italy and Spain, stabilized in Germany and the Netherlands, and rose in France.
Significant disparities in labor market conditions between members persist: Spain was the economy with the highest unemployment rate in February (10.4%), followed by Finland (8.8%). At the other end of the spectrum, Malta (2.7%) and Slovenia (3.2%) had the lowest unemployment rates.
