Ghana: Inflation climbs to four-month high in October
Latest reading: Inflation edged up to 22.1% in October, following September’s 21.5%. Looking at the details of the release, prices for food and beverages rose at a faster pace in October. Additionally, housing and utilities prices expanded at a quicker pace. In contrast, prices for transport rose at a more moderate rate.
Still, the trend pointed down, with annual average inflation coming in at 23.2% in October (September: 24.0%).
Lastly, consumer prices increased a seasonally adjusted 0.84% in October over the previous month, a smaller increase than the 2.80% rise recorded in September.
