Greece: Industrial output expands at quickest pace since April in November
Latest reading: Industrial production rose 2.8% month-on-month in seasonally adjusted terms in November (October: +0.9% mom). November’s figure marked the best reading since April. The improvement was driven by a rebound in mining output. Additionally, both electricity and water supply output grew at faster clips. That said, manufacturing production swung into contraction.
On a year-on-year basis, factory output rebounded notably, rising 4.9% in November (October: -2.5% yoy), which marked the highest print since July. Meanwhile, annual average industrial production growth rose to 5.3% in November (October: +5.2%). This signals an improving trend in the industrial sector.
