Greece: Industrial output bounces back in October
Latest reading: Industrial output expanded 0.6% in month-on-month seasonally adjusted terms in October, which contrasted September’s 2.3% decrease. Looking at the details of the release, October’s rebound was broad-based, with the manufacturing, electricity supply and water supply sub-sectors all gaining steam.
On an annual basis, factory output fell 2.9% in October (September: +2.6% yoy), the worst result since June 2023. Accordingly, annual average industrial production growth fell to 5.1% in October (September: +6.3%), signaling a worsening trend in the industrial sector.
