Greece: Unemployment rate falls in January
Latest reading: January’s data sent positive signals regarding the health of the labor market. The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate fell to 8.7% in January from December’s downwardly revised 9.3%. Moreover, the number of employed people increased by 8,794 compared with December.
Meanwhile, the number of unemployed declined by 28,830 relative to December. That said, the number of individuals outside the labor force rose by 17,952 compared with December.
