Hungary: Economic sentiment decreases in November
Latest reading: Economic sentiment fell to 95.1 in November from October’s 96.6. November’s result marked the weakest sentiment since October 2023. As a result, the index remained below the long-term average of 100, pointing to a muted near-term outlook for the economy.
The headline print reflected worse sentiment in the industrial, retail and construction sectors. Moreover, confidence in the services sector and among consumers weakened in November.
Relating to indicators that are not used to calculate the index, employment expectations were unchanged, while the economic uncertainty index increased in November.
