Hungary: Industrial activity deteriorates in September
Latest reading: Industrial output nosedived 6.3% compared to the same month a year earlier in September, which was a deterioration from August’s 3.6% decrease. The notable drop was largely driven by a decline in manufacturing output. In contrast, mining and quarrying output picked up pace.
On a monthly basis, industrial output dropped 0.7% in seasonally adjusted terms in September, which was below August’s 0.5% fall. Meanwhile, annual average of industrial production was 4.0% in September, mirroring August’s print.
