Hungary: Inflation increases in November
Latest reading: Inflation increased to 3.7% in November, following October’s 3.2% and inching closer to the upper bound of the Central Bank’s 2.0–4.0% target range. Looking at the details of the release, price pressures for food plus housing and energy prices rose at quicker paces in November.
Annual average inflation fell to 3.8% in November (October: 4.1%). Meanwhile, core inflation fell to 4.4% in November from October’s 4.5%.
Finally, consumer prices rose 0.52% in November over the previous month, accelerating from October’s 0.09% rise. November’s uptick was the highest reading since July.
