Kazakhstan: Industrial output expands at joint-quickest pace in nearly two years in February
Latest reading: Industrial output increased 9.4% compared to the same month of the previous year in February, which was above January’s 2.3% increase. February’s figure marked the joint-best reading since June 2023. Looking at the details of the release, manufacturing production plus mining and quarrying gained steam in February, outweighing sharper declines in water and energy supply.
As a result, annual average industrial production growth rose to 3.0% in February (January: +2.7%). This signals an improving trend in the industrial sector.
