Kazakhstan: Inflation slows slightly in November
Latest reading: Inflation ticked down to 8.4% in November from October’s 8.5%, remaining entrenched above the Central Bank’s medium-term target of 5.0%. According to the preliminary release, a softer increase in services costs outweighed faster price pressures for goods.
As a result, the trend pointed down, with annual average inflation edging down to 8.8% in November (October: 8.9%).
Finally, consumer prices increased 0.88% over the previous month in November, picking up from the 0.86% rise seen in October. November’s uptick was the highest reading since February.
