Kuwait: Inflation falls in August
Latest reading: Inflation inched down to 2.9% in August, following July’s 3.0%, on the back of slightly weaker price pressures for culture and recreation. The reading was well below the average for the Middle East and North Africa, but above the average for Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) members.
the trend pointed down slightly, with annual average inflation coming in at 3.3% in August (July: 3.4%).
Lastly, consumer prices increased 0.07% in August over the previous month, a smaller increase than July’s 0.15% increase. August’s result marked the weakest reading since July 2023.
