Kuwait: Inflation recedes in March
Latest reading: Inflation inched down to 2.4% in March, following February’s 2.5%. The reading was well below the average for the Middle East and North Africa, but above the average for Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) members. Looking at the details of the release, prices for food and clothing increased at a softer rate in March.
In addition, the trend pointed down mildly, with annual average inflation coming in at 2.7% in March (February: 2.8%).
Finally, consumer prices rose 0.29% from the previous month in March, picking up from February’s 0.22% rise.
