Latvia: Industrial activity deteriorates in September
Latest reading: Industrial output decreased 2.0% year on year in September, which contrasted August’s 0.6% increase. The result came on the back of a drop in electricity and gas supply production. However, manufacturing production improved.
On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, factory output fell 1.3% in September (August: +1.2% mom). Meanwhile, the trend pointed down, with the annual average variation of industrial production coming in at minus 5.6% in September, down from August’s minus 5.5% reading.
