Lithuania: Economic sentiment remains healthy in December
Latest reading: Economic sentiment came in at 105.3 in December, down from November’s 105.4. As a result, the index remained above the long-term average of 100, pointing to a positive near-term outlook for the economy.
The headline print reflected improved sentiment in the construction and retail sectors. Additionally, confidence in the services sector was healthier in December. Less positively, sentiment in the industrial sector weakened, and consumer confidence softened.
Relating to indicators that are not used to calculate the index, employment expectations weakened, while the economic uncertainty index increased in December.
