Lithuania: Industrial output growth slows in August
Latest reading: Industrial output expanded 3.4% year on year in August (July: +11.8% yoy). August’s reading was largely driven by a deterioration in manufacturing output growth. In contrast, mining and quarrying output gained steam.
On a monthly basis, industrial output grew 3.3% in seasonally adjusted terms in August, significantly above July’s 1.4% expansion. Meanwhile, annual average industrial production growth rose to 6.6% in August (July: +3.1%), which marked an over two-year high.
