Lithuania: Industrial output growth softens in September
Latest reading: Industrial production grew 2.3% year on year in September (August: +3.1% yoy). September’s reading was partly due to a deterioration in manufacturing production growth. In addition, mining and quarrying output lost steam.
On a monthly basis, factory output dropped 0.2% in seasonally adjusted terms in September, contrasting August’s 3.0% expansion. Meanwhile, the trend improved, with the annual average growth of industrial production coming in at a two-year high of 7.6% in September, up from August’s 6.5% reading.
