Lithuania: Industrial output accelerates in December
Latest reading: Industrial output rose 5.9% in year-on-year terms in December, which followed November’s 5.0% increase. The figure marked the best reading since July and was largely due to faster growth in manufacturing production. In contrast, mining and quarrying production lost steam.
On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, factory output rose at a more moderate pace of 2.2% in December (November: +3.9% mom). Meanwhile, annual average industrial production growth rose to 9.7% in December (November: +9.0%), which marked an over two-year high.
