Lithuania: Harmonized inflation declines in October
Latest reading: Harmonized inflation came in at 0.1% in October, which was down from September’s 0.4%. October’s figure marked the weakest inflation rate since December 2020. The reading was driven by falling price pressures for food and non-alcoholic beverages and easing price pressures for housing and utilities.
Accordingly, the trend pointed down, with annual average harmonized inflation coming in at 0.9% in October (September: 1.2%). Meanwhile, consumer price inflation fell to 0.3% in October from September’s 0.5%.
Finally, harmonized consumer prices increased 0.06% in October over the previous month, moderating from September’s 0.36% rise.
