Luxembourg: Harmonized inflation moderates in February
Latest reading: Harmonized inflation eased to 1.9% in February, following January’s 2.4%. The drop was primarily driven by slower price growth for housing and utilities plus hospitality. Additionally, prices for transport declined in February after having rebounded in January.
The trend pointed down mildly, with annual average harmonized inflation coming in at 2.1% in February (January: 2.2%). Meanwhile, consumer price inflation fell to 1.7% in February from January’s 1.9%.
Finally, harmonized consumer prices increased 1.13% in February over the previous month, picking up from January’s 0.32% rise. February’s uptick was the highest reading since February 2024.
