Luxembourg: Harmonized inflation increases in October
Latest reading: Harmonized inflation rose to 0.9% in October from September’s 0.8%. Looking at the details of the release, the prices for transportation dropped at a less pronounced pace, outweighing softer price growth for food, recreation and hospitality.
Annual average harmonized inflation ticked down to 2.5% in October (September: 2.6%). Meanwhile, consumer price inflation fell to 1.0% in October from the previous month’s 1.3%.
Finally, harmonized consumer prices dropped 0.06% in October over the previous month, after the 0.49% drop logged in September.
