Netherlands: Economic sentiment rises above threshold in November
Latest reading: Economic sentiment came in at 100.2 in November, up from October’s 98.7. Consequently, the index rose above the long-term average of 100, pointing to a positive near-term outlook for the economy.
The headline print reflected stronger sentiment in the industrial, retail and construction sectors. Moreover, confidence in the services sector strengthened in November. Nonetheless, consumer confidence softened.
Relating to indicators that are not used to calculate the index, employment expectations deteriorated, while the economic uncertainty index improved in November.
