Netherlands: Harmonized inflation falls in August
Latest reading: Harmonized inflation eased to 3.3% in August, following July’s 3.5%. August’s figure represented the lowest inflation rate since May. Looking at the details of the release, prices for transportation and recreation grew at a more moderate rate.
Annual average harmonized inflation was unchanged at July’s 2.1% in August. Meanwhile, consumer price inflation edged down to 3.6% in August from July’s 3.7%.
Finally, harmonized consumer prices increased 0.37% in August over the previous month, which was below July’s 1.26% increase.
