Latest reading: Consumer confidence came in at 99.8 in November, up notably from October’s 91.2. November’s result marked the strongest sentiment since September 2021, with consumers growing more upbeat about current and future conditions.
However, the index remained below the 100-threshold separating pessimism from optimism among consumers, which chimes with our panelists’ forecast of still-soft private consumption growth in Q4.
