Poland: Economic sentiment increases in November
Latest reading: Economic sentiment came in at 99.1 in November, up from October’s 98.4. Consequently, the index remained below the long-term average of 100, pointing to a muted near-term outlook for the economy.
The uptick reflected healthier sentiment in the industrial, retail and construction sectors. Moreover, consumer confidence was up in November. That said, confidence in the services sector waned in November.
Considering indicators that are not used to calculate the index, employment expectations weakened, while the economic uncertainty index increased in November.
