Poland: Industrial activity deteriorates in February
Latest reading: Industrial output declined 2.0% year on year in February (January: -0.9% yoy). The result marked the worst reading since March 2024 and was largely due to a sharper contraction in mining and quarrying production plus a decline in manufacturing output.
On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, factory output fell 0.2% in February (January: +0.5% mom s.a.). Meanwhile, the trend pointed down, with the annual average growth of industrial production coming in at 2.0%, down from January’s 2.9%.
