Poland: Industrial output contracts at sharpest rate since May in November
Latest reading: Industrial production dropped 1.5% year on year in November (October: +4.6% yoy). The outturn marked the worst reading since May. November’s notable weakening was partly due to a bigger drop in mining and quarrying output. In addition, manufacturing output fell.
On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, industrial output fell 3.0% in November (October: +4.6% mom), the worst result since March. Meanwhile, the trend improved, with the annual average growth of industrial production coming in at a two-year high of 2.6% in November, up from October’s 2.4%.
