Poland: Industrial output rebounds in October
Latest reading: Industrial production rose 4.7% year on year in October (September: -0.3% yoy). The reading reflected a broad-based improvement, with activity in the mining and quarrying, manufacturing and electricity, gas and utilities sub-sectors all improving in October.
On a monthly basis, industrial output increased 4.5% in seasonally adjusted terms in October, contrasting September’s 0.2% fall and marking the best result since April. Meanwhile, the trend improved significantly, with the annual average growth of industrial production coming in at an over two-year high of 2.4%, up from September’s 1.8% reading.
