Poland: Inflation picks up in January
Latest reading: Inflation rose to 5.3% in January from 4.7% in December, marking a 13-month high. The uptick stemmed from higher price pressures for energy and food plus a rebound in transport costs.
Meanwhile, annual average inflation grew to 3.8% in January from December’s 3.7%.
Lastly, consumer prices rose 1.00% month on month in January, which was above December’s flat reading. The monthly increase was the highest since July 2024.
