Poland: Inflation holds steady in March above the Central Bank’s target
Latest reading: Inflation came in at 4.9% in March, matching February’s reading and above the 3.5% upper bound of the Central Bank’s target range. Looking at the details of the release, transportation prices fell at a quicker pace in March compared to the previous month, while price pressures for food and housing picked up pace.
Annual average inflation rose to 4.2% in March (February: 3.9%).
Finally, consumer prices rose 0.20% from the previous month in March, below the 0.30% increase logged in February.
