Poland: Inflation surges to 10-month high in October
Latest reading: Inflation rose to 5.0% in October, from September’s 4.9%. October’s figure marked the highest reading since December 2023. Price pressures for food and non-alcoholic beverages plus electricity, gas and other fuels increased, while transport prices broadly stabilized following September’s decline.
In addition, the trend pointed down slightly, with annual average inflation coming in at 3.9% in October (September: 4.1%).
Finally, consumer prices rose 0.30% from the previous month in October, below the 0.10% rise seen in September.
