Romania: Economic sentiment steady in November
Latest reading: Economic sentiment was unchanged at October’s 105.7 in November. Consequently, the index remained above the long-term average of 100, pointing to a positive near-term outlook for the economy.
The headline print reflected deteriorating confidence in the industry and services sectors plus dampened sentiment in the construction sector, which offset improved sentiment among consumers and stronger confidence in the retail sector.
Regarding indicators that are not used to calculate the index, employment expectations were healthier, while the economic uncertainty index rose in November.
