Russia: Industrial output growth accelerates in September
Latest reading: Industrial output growth edged up to 3.2% year on year in September from August’s 2.7% increase, meeting market expectations. Looking at the details of the release, a stronger increase in energy supply and manufacturing outweighed deteriorations in mining and quarrying, and water supply swung into contraction.
Meanwhile, the trend pointed down, with the annual average growth of industrial production coming in at 4.5% in September, down from August’s 4.8%.
On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, industrial production growth slowed to a halt, deteriorating from August’s 0.8% increase.
