Russia: Industrial output growth accelerates in October
Latest reading: Industrial output growth jumped to 4.8% year on year in October from September’s 3.2% increase, smashing market expectations. Looking at the details of the release, a sharper increase in manufacturing output outweighed softer energy supply growth and deteriorations in mining and quarrying, and water supply.
Meanwhile, the trend pointed down, with the annual average growth of industrial production ticking down to 4.4% in October from September’s 4.5%.
On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, industrial production rose 0.5%, improving from September’s flat reading.
