Saudi Arabia: Inflation rises in August
Latest reading: Inflation came in at 1.6% in August, up from July’s 1.5%. Looking at the details of the release, prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages rose at a quicker rate in August. However, prices for clothing and footwear dropped at a sharper rate.
The trend was unchanged, with annual average inflation coming in at July’s 1.6% in August.
Lastly, consumer prices increased 0.07% over the previous month in August, after the 0.13% increase recorded in July. August’s result marked the weakest reading since March.
