Serbia: Industrial output expands at quickest pace since February in October
Latest reading: Industrial output rose 8.1% compared to the same month a year earlier in October, which followed September’s 4.6% increase. The figure marked the best reading since February. The improvement was spearheaded by a larger increase in manufacturing output. Moreover, electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply production rebounded. On the flip side, mining and quarrying output growth slowed.
Meanwhile, the trend improved slightly, with the annual average growth of industrial production coming in at 0.9%, up from September’s 0.7% reading. On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, industrial production rose at a more moderate pace of 0.9% in October (September: +2.1% mom).
