Serbia: Industrial output growth deteriorates in November
Latest reading: Industrial output rose 1.0% compared to the same month of the previous year in November, which was a deterioration from October’s 8.1% increase.
The deceleration was driven by a weaker expansion in manufacturing output. That said, mining and quarrying production gained steam.
Meanwhile, annual average industrial production growth fell to 0.4% in November (October: +0.9%). This signals a worsening trend in the industrial sector.
On a monthly basis, industrial output decreased 2.8% in seasonally adjusted terms in November, contrasting October’s 1.0% expansion and marking the worst result since March.
