Serbia: Industrial output drops at sharpest rate since March 2024 in February

Latest reading: Industrial production decreased 1.8% year on year in February (January: +0.4% yoy). February’s figure marked the worst reading since March 2024. The deterioration was driven by a fall in manufacturing production and a weaker expansion in mining and quarrying production.

Meanwhile, the trend pointed down, with the annual average variation of industrial production coming in at minus 1.6%, down from January’s minus 0.3% reading. On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, factory output fell 1.2% in February (January: +0.7% mom s.a.).
