Serbia: Inflation moderates in November
Latest reading: Inflation edged down to 4.3% in November from October’s 4.5%. Looking at the details of the release, housing and utilities price growth softened, and prices for restaurants and hotels grew at a more subdued pace. That said, prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages rose at a quicker rate in November and prices for transportation rebounded.
Annual average inflation fell to 4.9% in November (October: 5.2%). Meanwhile, core inflation edged down to 5.4% in November from October’s 5.5%.
Finally, consumer prices rose 0.29% in November over the previous month, a smaller increase than October’s 0.58% rise.
