Slovakia: Economic sentiment edges up in November
Latest reading: Economic sentiment inched up to 92.0 in November from October’s 91.9. Consequently, the index remained below the long-term average of 100, pointing to a muted near-term outlook for the economy.
The headline print reflected stronger sentiment in the industrial sector. However, confidence in the retail trade sector weakened and sentiment in the services and construction sectors deteriorated. Lastly, sentiment among consumers remained stable.
Regarding indicators that are not used to calculate the index, employment expectations weakened, while the economic uncertainty index decreased.
