Slovakia: Industrial output growth accelerates in September
Latest reading: Industrial output growth shot up to 2.5% year on year in September (August: +0.9% yoy). Looking at the details of the release, September’s upturn reflected a rebounding manufacturing output and a faster increase in energy supply. That said, mining and quarrying production swung into contraction.
Meanwhile, annual average industrial production growth fell to 1.4% in September (August: +1.5%), signaling a worsening trend in the industrial sector.
On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, industrial production growth slowed to 1.3% in September from August’s 1.5% rise.
