Slovakia: Industrial output growth slows in October
Latest reading: Industrial output decelerated to 1.3% year on year in October (September: +2.5% yoy), coming in above market expectations but below Q3’s average. Looking at the details of the release, a broad-based decline across the industrial sector underpinned the weaker expansion: Manufacturing plus energy production decelerated in October from September, and mining output contracted at a sharper pace.
Accordingly, the trend pointed down, with the annual average growth of industrial production coming in at 0.4%, down from September’s 1.2%.
On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, industrial production growth slowed to 0.7% in October from September’s 1.4%.
