Slovakia: Decline in industrial output softens in February
Latest reading: Industrial output fell 1.4% compared to the same month a year earlier in February, which was above January’s 5.1% fall. The improvement was largely driven by a softer contraction in manufacturing production and energy supply. That said, mining and quarrying output rebounded.
On a seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis, industrial output rose 5.2% (January: -7.1% mom s.a.).
Meanwhile, the trend improved modestly, with the annual average variation of industrial production coming in at 0.1%, up from January’s 0.0%.
