Slovenia: Harmonized inflation hits six-month high in November
Latest reading: Harmonized inflation came in at 1.6% in November, contrasting October’s flat reading and marking the highest inflation rate since May. Looking at the details of the release, prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages drove the increase, logging the fastest growth since January. Moreover, housing and utilities plus transportation costs declined at a milder pace.
However, the trend pointed down, with annual average harmonized inflation coming in at 2.1% in November (October: 2.4%). Meanwhile, consumer price inflation rose 1.7% year on year in November after flatlining in October.
Lastly, harmonized consumer prices increased 0.70% over the previous month in November, rebounding from October’s 0.30% drop. November’s uptick marked the joint-highest reading since June 2023.
