Slovenia: Harmonized inflation falls to near four-year low in October
Latest reading: Harmonized inflation flatlined in October (September: 0.7%), marking the weakest result since February 2021. Looking at the details of the release, prices for transport plus housing and utilities decreased at a sharper pace, largely offsetting stronger price pressures for food and non-alcoholic beverages.
As a result, annual average harmonized inflation fell to 2.4% in October (September: 2.9%). Meanwhile, consumer prices were flat on an annual basis in October, below September’s 0.7% increase.
Lastly, harmonized consumer prices fell 0.30% over the previous month in October, swinging from September’s 0.20% increase and marking the sharpest fall in prices since January.
