Spain: Economic sentiment rises in March
Latest reading: Economic sentiment increased to 103.4 in March from February’s 102.3. Consequently, the index remained above the long-term average of 100, pointing to a positive near-term outlook for the economy.
According to available data, the improvement was driven by stronger sentiment in the industrial sector. That said, confidence in the construction sector weakened.
Considering indicators that are not used to calculate the index, employment expectations worsened, while the economic uncertainty index fell in March.
