Spain: Economic sentiment rises in January
Latest reading: Economic sentiment increased to 104.4 in January from December’s 102.9. Consequently, the index remained above the long-term average of 100, pointing to a positive near-term outlook for the economy.
According to available data, the improvement was driven by healthier sentiment in the industrial sector. Moreover, confidence in the construction sector strengthened.
Considering indicators that are not used to calculate the index, employment expectations improved, while the economic uncertainty index fell in January.
