Spain: Harmonized inflation holds steady in February
Latest reading: Harmonized inflation came in at 2.9% in February, unchanged from January’s reading. Prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages plus housing and utilities rose at quicker rates. That said, price pressures for hospitality and for transportation cooled.
Annual average harmonized inflation was unchanged at January’s 2.8% in February. Meanwhile, consumer price inflation rose to 3.0% in February from the previous month’s 2.9%.
Finally, harmonized consumer prices increased 0.39% in February over the previous month, swinging from January’s 0.14% fall.
