Spain: Harmonized inflation rises in October
Latest reading: Harmonized inflation came in at 1.8% in October, which was up from September’s 1.7%. The reading was driven by rising prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages and housing and utilities.
The trend pointed down slightly, with annual average harmonized inflation coming in at 3.0% in October (September: 3.1%). Meanwhile, consumer price inflation rose to 1.8% in October from the previous month’s 1.5%.
Lastly, harmonized consumer prices rose 0.40% from the previous month in October, contrasting September’s 0.10% drop. October’s uptick was the sharpest increase in prices since April.
